The only ferry I've been on to there has been passengers only.

You can get tuk-tuks (called Skylabs there) around the island.

Hire one for a tour for the day and you'll see everything, you don't even need an overnight stay.

Yeah, i stayed overnight on Koh SiChang, that was more than ample time to see it all, left me enough time to get bored shitless as well.
