I signed up for 3BB Premier in Sriracha. It took them two weeks to get it working at all after they initially set it up. Since then (three months ago) service has dropped on four occasions for a day or longer. Each time I call they tell me they have to contact a technician in the area who will call me back within an hour. On each occasion I received no call back and had to repeat the process the next day until they would finally get someone available who spoke not a word of English.

I received this month's bill a week ago and was billed twice for the same month. I went to the local office, which is nothing more than a payment counter. They tried to contact someone in Bangkok and after 45 minutes told me they would get it straightened out and call me that afternoon.

Three days later and no call back. I returned to the service office and the girl acted like I had never been there.

Service went out again last night so I decided I would give TOT a try as it is the only other provider here.

Now I find out that if I cancel 3BB I have to pay a 4500- baht cancellation fee.

Amazing Thailand...

For the most part, Thai Internet service stinks. They are greedy companies who can't compete on the international market. Where is the 3G? They are desperately trying to keep foreign competition out because they can't compete with decent service oriented companies.

Take a look at Thai Airways trying to keep Air Asia out of the Thailand market. Unfortunately Thailand has protectionist policies and they refuse to compete on a level playing field.
