Do Not Have Visa

Featured Replies

The Royal Thai Embassy Oslo in Norway, inform a man that wanted to go to Phuket for two or three months, will get a visa for 90 days. He is older then 50, even past 70 years old.

Have you heard about this?

That you do not need to bye a visa from the consulate ahead.

How many times can you du this in a year?

Someone done this in Phuket.

Do you need to pay something on arrival?

Or just say as you hand over the passport: I will stay for 90 days.

:)

No the over 50's visa is a non imm O or a non imm O-A..

over 50's d not get 90 days on arrival (unless from Brazil or any one of the 90 day visa exempt countries.. No change at 50).

You will only get the normal 30-days visa exempt stamp.

If you want to stay 90 days then get a single entry tourist visa or a non immigrant O visa in Norway.

The tourist visa will give you 60 days on entry and can be extended with 30 days at immigrations for 1900 baht.

The non immigrant O visa will give you 90 days on entry.

Phuket airport offers the same visas on arrival as every other international airport in the country. Moving to Thailand Visas section

Believe your friend misunderstood. The Consulate (Embassy) was probably saying they could issue him a single entry non immigrant O visa because of his age and it would cover a 90 day stay. He would have to pay for the visa.

The chalange is many people like to talk.

They do not understand the implikation for the man. When he is standing in the front of an immigrationofficer.

I am very glad for everyone that had inform him here on thaivisa, that you had to have a visa as you planning to stay in Phuket longer then 28 days.

As long as you keep comming for short time, no problem. Staying longer is a hassel of paperwork.

The man did go to the travelagent, he called the Thai Royal Embassedy, he called the sicurity police at the main airport in Norway. He understood that there was no problem to enter Thailand without visa, they would give him a visa for 90 days on arrival.

We all know that is not the trough.

When you wanted to get correct information, read on the offical homepage from the Thai govermet.

Everything else is just talk!

Thanks a lot for the help!
