P76
My wife called home yesterday and was informed that a 7/11 has opened in Lansak. Great news for me as I will now be able to buy fresh milk in town. I used to do a 50km round trip to Nong Chang when I ran out. I recall when I first started going there 8yrs ago I couldn't even buy bread. On my last visit in July, I found a video rental store had opened up, with all the latest releases in English available. These things make staying there much more convienient and enjoyable. I'm hoping for a Big C or Tesco in Uthai Thani in the future.
Maccheroncini
Happy for you. What about the daily meal can you live on local food just fine?
P76
No problems with the local fare for lunch and dinner but I do like my cereal and coffee in the morning. Not a fan of Coffee mate or UHT milk. Has to be fresh.

dave_boo
Nice. That's a quick 28 km run from my house; while I can eat Thai food (and the wife's attempts at Western), it's nice to get some 'junk' food now and again. The ride down to Lat Yao to even get those items was never fun as those who've traveled the 3473 can attest.....
