I Need A Backup For Cat

I am currently using CAT, and am overall satisfied with them.

Occasionally, they do lose connection though, and in then I would like some sort of backup.

I previously used CSLox, but I have no telephone lines in the house where I live now, so that is not an option.

I then saw an ad from Big C, selling this Aircard

(same product, 2 different reviews).

Will this cover my need? As far as I can tell, it is connected to DTAC, so even though CAT may be offline, I should still be able to get a signal, right? Or are they insome way connected/running on the same network?

Do you have any other suggestions?

I have CAT EVDO and it is NOT a reliable connection. I have two mobile phones, one with Dtac and the other with AIS SIM cards. Dtac is normally a better EDGE connection but not always. Internet connections in Thailand leave much to be desired. It takes three connection options to be able to have a fairly reliable SLOW connection.
