Memory For Compaq Presario V5002ea Laptop

Featured Replies

I wish to upgrade the memory in my HP Compaq Presario V5002EA Laptop. Its currently 512 MB held in two clips of 256MB.

I have identified what I think is suitable Kingston memory:

<h1 class="title">"Kingston 1GB DDR-333 200-pin SO-DIMM for HP/Compaq Presario V5000 V5002EA Notebook"</h1>I would like to obtain this in Thailand. Since I live a fair way from Bangkok can anyone please recommend a good online memory supplier in Thailand. I have looked at several contained in a previous post but can't seem to find the product I want.

Here is the computer spec:

Presario V5002EA Memory Specifications

Standard Memory 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB (removable)

Maximum Memory 2.0 GB

Memory Expansion 2 sockets

Memory Comments PC2700 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs

CPU Type AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+

Model Comments ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M IGP Chipset

Any suggestions on alternative compatible memory types would be also appreciated. I am looking for two 1 GB sticks.

DDR Ram has become silly expensive now. A 1GB stick will cost you almost 2000 baht, so might be worth considering if it's worth it spending 4000 baht to upgrade your old notebook.

Thank you. I take your point but the notebook is running fine I just need more RAM for photo processing. Can you suggest a place where I might get some preferably via online store in Thailand.

I am only 90 km from Hua Hin would it be possible to get it there?

You might try sponsor as below - I would not count on finding old ram in stores as they seem to not keep old stock if they can help it.

Thank you. Funnily enough I can find plenty of this RAM in the US and UK stores. US cheap UK very expensive. But I wanted to try and avoid import. Will check out your link.
