Is there a national park within a few hours' drive of Pattaya that offers guest accomodation? My employer has given me a few days holiday (thank-you sir, God bless you sir, grovel, grovel...) - and I fancy camping out in the Thai jungle for a few days

Probably everything is already booked up, but any suggestions are welcome

Khao yai should fit for this.Only a few hours driving,not sure if they have accomodation inside the park but for sure at all the exits there is.Khao yai

Khao Yai would be a good choice and you can rent a tent and sleeping bags at the camping areas but be warned that this long holiday weekend the park will be unbelievably crowded with campers so unless you like crowds I would give this a miss.

They do have accomadations in the park but by this time I'm sure they are all booked for the New Years holiday. As far as the camping itself you can't just pitch a tent anywhere. The camping is restricted to two camping areas, both of which have toilet/showers and places to eat.
