Hi,

Planning on a few days to travel between Bangkok and Khon Kaen. And want to spend the time doing some fishing. Can anyone advise some good lakes/ponds preferable with accomodation along route 2 of near by. Thanks and happy new year.

hey there, Lam Takong on the way (right next to the road), near to Korat has some good fishing, not sure of places to stay tho. There isnt much between Korat and Kon Kaen unless you really know the area. There are 2 massive lakes near KK, Lam Pao and another which i forget the name. Both have boats services and floating accomodation I believe. I hope that helps.

I too have driven past this hugh lake on the left hand side on the BKK - Khon Kaen road. Looks great. Does any have info on what is in there and how to fish it? Regards John
