Wikipedia -- Not Working -- Is It My Computer Or The Website?

Featured Replies

Since mid-day yesterday I haven't been able to open Wikipedia at all, although any other sites seem fine.

Just me? If so, any tips to restore? It won't open in either Firefox or IE.

Must be your PC as opened fine yesterday and 3 different sites this morning..

Use Vista and Firefox.

No major problems from here in rural Rayong on borrowed wi-fi, SeaMonkey (mozilla like firefox) on Ubuntu Linux. From http://www.wikipedia.com to wikipedia.org to English to loaded took around 70 seconds, which is to be expected with wiki, as they get a lot of traffic and there's a lot of data to sort through assumedly.

Possibly it might be worth clearing your cookies and wiping the cache, just in case?

I use this site to double check http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

Wikipedia hasn't been working for me since yesterday also.

No problem here (Firefox, Maxnet Premier, Pattaya).

Are you still using the ISP's DNS system? If so, consider changing to Google or Open DNS (Google it).

or use thaivisa's public free DNS which is a lot faster than those inside Thailand :)
