For those who have been here a while, do you feel an increasing anti-farang sentiment? If so, why do you think that is? I personally think, yes, and I think it is largely to do with the economic frustrations of Thais as well as viral misbehaving farang posts online. Thais don't seem as happy as they used to be. It isn't really The Land of Smiles anymore and has fallen to 50th place (roughly) on the happiness index, and particulary since 2015 Thais have reported online being less happy. They are also in high personal debt compared to before and I think struggling more than any time since their financial crisis in the late 90s. This, coupled in with online culture of posting everything online (many videos showcasing bad farangs), has led to a lit of anti-farang sentiment. Just my opinion. What do you think?
