Rimmer
On Thursday Evening at Pattaya Police Station, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sanae dealt with a case of suspected fraud involving a woman who had attempted to pawn two fake gold necklaces. The alleged offence was reported by Khun Tawatshai aged 58, the owner of the Hang Pet Tong 99 Gold Shop located in South Pattaya. The suspect, Khun Tanit aged 31, was also present and explained that the she was not aware the gold necklaces were fake and had come down to Pattaya from Samut Sakorn Province located in Central Thailand to search for her Husband. She needed some money to continue her search and decided to pawn one of the gold necklaces. She received 28,000 Baht for the necklace as the owner failed to spot it was a fake. The woman returned to the shop to pawn a second necklace and this time, the owner was ready for her and called the Police. slim
The owner of a Thai gold shop who couldn't tell the difference between real and fake gold? Has this guy been in business long?
slapout
If the necklace (first one ) was pawned as stated for 28,000 baht, what is the crime? She still has the option of redeeming the necklace if she wants. I would not want this man running a pawn shop or gold shop on my money.
