Anyone Tried New Skype Offering

Featured Replies

Seen these pop-ups on TV as well as my regular computer skype and what they are offering sounds too good to be true.....especially the in country unlimited calls from land line or cel for $5.95. http://www.thaivisa.com/skype

anyone using it?? and do you still have to pay for your AIS cel air time on prepaid??

Been using it, seems to work well, other service we use only includes landlines but this including mobiles is great. Seems a lot of people my wife knows are getting rid of the land lines and only have mobiles.

So, when using the skype from cel phone.....are you still charged air time on the cel and what company?? or do you have to change phone number/sim??

I use it from a PC, but if you have Skype application on your phone it should charge to you Internet usage. I have not done it this way but I am sure this would be the case.

I use an annual subscription for the same (single country Thailand) and I purchased it through a cashback website. The net annual cost was only about £25/$40. For Thailand, this includes calls to mobiles !

When in Thailand, I can use it to call other phones, mobile or landline. In the UK I have a 3G phone and can use Skype on my mobile to phone Thailand for free. You will probably need an unlimited internet plan for this.

I could change it to all countries for around double this cost. The downside (if there is one) is that for many countries, it is only calls to landlines. I think it is the best thing on the telephone market for international calls.

I use a Philips VOIP321 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-VOIP321-Co...e/dp/B000GRUNEU for both landline and Skype calls. It switches automatically.

I would use it for domestic Thailand calls IF I don't have to pay Thai airtime charges to AIS on top of the Skype. At 200thb/mo unlimited, it's good value. How is the sound quality of the call??

The full package is less than double the price and gives the same deal to many countries. Sound quality is good. You can pay month to month, so if you don't like you won't be stuck any way, just do it.

But, are the skype fees on top of your domestic mobil phone fees??? That's what I need to know....

I would use it for domestic Thailand calls IF I don't have to pay Thai airtime charges to AIS on top of the Skype. At 200thb/mo unlimited, it's good value. How is the sound quality of the call??

I have been using the "special deal" for about 4 weeks now. The domestic Thailand calls to Phuket mobiles are only about 80%. Not really as good as AIS to AIS mobiles calls.
