What a bunch of miserable cynical heifers.

I stopped by a similar little restaurant (in sofar as it was opposite a supermarket carpark) on the way home from work, and enjoyed a nice round of drinks for the staff at my expense, some fairly limited conversation, and the food that I bought myself. And if I felt that I'd bought more than I wanted to, or paid more than what I thought was a fair price, I might have been disgruntled, same as the OP, but if you can't flaunt your money, what else are you going to do with it?
