Pattaya Education Visa Update

Featured Replies

In accordance with my non immigrant education visa (Non O Ed), I must extend/renew every 90 days.

In 2010, I am fortunate to be able to take many international vacations. Therefore I wish to have a re-entry permit which costs 1000 baht per permit (and a visit to immigration each permit) or 3800 baht for multiple entry.

Perhaps it's logical to some but I did not realize that the multiple entry is only good for the 90 days until my Non O Ed extension/renewal. As I only travel internationally once a month, I could purchase 3 extensions (one at a time unfortunately) x 1000THB = 3000THB which would save me 800 baht.

If you foresee yourself leaving Thailand more than 3 times in 3 months, then I recommend the multiple entry permit if you have your Non O visa.

Does anyone know if a re-entry permit can be purchased at BKK airport?

I beleive that you CANNOT get the re-entry permit at the airport now.

There is a sign there directing you to Bangkok Immigration.

You USED to be able to get a re-entry permit at the Novotel nearby but I don't know if that is still an available option.

Correct. You can no longer get a re-entry permit at the airport. You have to get them from the immigration office where you get your extensions of stay.
