I have downloaded firefox & now spellcheck is gone.No icons or anything, how can I add.

I had the same problem. You need to right click on a web page form and choose 'add dictionaries' and follow the instructions.

A web page form for example would be the box where you type a reply to a post.

An alternative method would be to go here and install the dictionary that you require. A restart of Firefox is required for the spell check to take effect.
