Tot Internet Very Slow In Pattaya Again

Featured Replies

Hi is it just me or is anybody else getting really slow TOT internet connections for the last couple of days. normally get 2mb getting 250kb how do they get away with it!

for the last 3 weeks I've had constant disconnects requiring router restarts.

speeds as low as 64k on downloads with a 3mb premier line

outages as long as 8 hours at a time where my linksys router says DSL is connected but no IP address being issued by ToT.

all in all its going from bad to worse.

Have you tried calling TOT at 1100# and then press 9 for English from your home phone.

When my international download speeds drop low (.2 - .5 mbs) I call and complain and they say they will alert a technician.

Just guessing but is it possible that because of TOT limited international bandwidth they put home internet numbers in a priority queue.

When I call it seems like my number goes to the top and my speeds are more like 1.7 -1.8 mbs. ( I pay for 2mbs)

I always get about 2mbs for Thailand websites (www.speedtest.com).

My TOT connection has also been slow or disconnected from time to time lately.

There is no point in wasting your breath by talking to TOT. They either look totally disinterested or fob you off with a stock answer.

in Suphanburi I've had the same starting from the beginning of the year...the three months previous speed and connectivity were fine, better than they've ever been...now wonderin' if ToT implemented some significant internal adjustments/modifications from the first of the month?

Hmm.. i guess there is some problem some were . . , my CAT the last 3weeks have been slowmotion here in BKK . . . ,

  • 5 weeks later...

my 3 m/bit line is down to 0.2 m/bit download speed and 0.5 m/bit (!) upload speed.

calling those mentally disabled customer care robots at tot ends up with a suggestion like:

you connect router with power line?...

or worse...

yep same here in ubon out for ten hours just come back on speed test 0.96 download

I have been receiving this (see attachment) when I log on to the internet. When I redo the setup again, I discovered that someone had changed the "User" to "cpe1@testcpe". Also, the secondary DNS was changed to google public DNS 8.8.8.8
