Reasons For Choosing Dell!

Featured Replies

I bought a dell inspirion 1545 in HK in october...

I got the worldwide next day onsite warranty, within the price ( about $800 all in)

On Sunday afternoon, I am in Phuket, apparantly a power surge just blew the motherboard instantly!!

( yes i have now bought an adapter!!!)

The good thing with dell, is the service tag number, so on Sunday i checked on the dell site, and I saw I had 221 days warranty left.

On Monday morning I called the Dell support line in thailand... dreading the up-coming brick walls...

to my surprise, they spoke very good english, and promised me an engineer next day in Phuket....

I made him repeat this 3 times.. and sure enough, he confirmed everything

he knows I bought in HK, I am in Phuket, and I need next day support.....

This morning at 10am, an engineer phoned, brilliant english, and said he would be with me in Kamala at 2pm

1.55pm he called me, and I met him to follow me to my house

1 hour later, my laptop has a new motherboard, and is as good as new!!!

To be honest, for once I am amazed, 27 hours from reporting the fault to it fixed in Thailand, is unbelieveable!!!, and no money involved, no excuses, no endless calls and tricks to get extra baht!!!

Another reason why I bought this laptop, is that it has a water-proof keyboard.... ( last one I screwed up, when I dropped a pint on it!!)

I know some people slag off dell, but i bet sony, apple, HP, tosh... would not genuinely fix the machine in a day... in your house!!!

( i promise I am not a Dell rep.... but considering a new motherboard is virtually same cost as the whole machine!, and I bought in another country... i am very happy!!!)

and relieved!!!

so after enough crap I give this country

WELL DONE DELL.co.th

Nice story. That sort of experience can make customers very brand loyal.

That is indeed refreshing to see in Thailand.

There are 2 other places that have brilliant warranty support as well, but that is still carry-in. So +1 for Dell on that one.

Following your comments about Dell,I decided to buy the Dell Inspiron 1564 from Dells Phuket branch.

They did not have this model in stock and i was told it would take one month to order this model.

Does anyone know where I can find this model in the Phuket area or failing that somewhere in Thailand

thanks.

I worked 3 years for Dell EMEA at customer support and service minding is always there.

I keep using Dell whatever I'm not working anymore for this company

:)
