I cannot get the missus to get any information from Somchai as to what is wrong with my old PC except that rain water got into it and it went bang. Thus I cannot get a repair price. The end result is that I don't have a PC solution.

I saw this online in the UK http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/603295/ebuy...rerevo-r3600-wi and though it lacks an operating system, it seems a potential solution, if I can get it back to Thailand, not in the post obviously.

I would want an OS on it though and to be hinest, I mean Windows. I'm trying to find a Windows 7 which will let me put the 64 bit on my PC and the 32 bit on this Acer.

What do you think ?

That Acer Revo will do the job for most computer users (internet, email, home office etc). But by the time you get it delivered here in TH the cost to you will probably be considerably more than comparable unit bought here in TH. And then there is the question of warranty service, which will almost certainly not be for free for the import. Take a look at the Atom-CPU units at InvadeIT, for example the Compaq which costs about 8k baht and is totally ready to go except for monitor.

Re Windows 7 on any Atom machine, it will work but why? If you want Windows for two computers you have to buy two copies, Microsoft license requirement. Win7 install DVD comes with both 32 and 64-bit versions on the one DVD. Also all the different versions eg. Home, Home Premium, Pro etc. are on that one DVD. But only one computer per license.

Thanks for that idea. It was purely the lack of options and the lack of knowledge which were pushing me to find a solution which could be delivered. I presume this is what you are talking about http://www.invadeit.com/product.aspx?pid=9...95-30449e3e8b39

Still leaves me with issues regarding the OS though !
