Can My Wife Work As Soon As We Are Married Or Does She Have To Wait Until Her Flr(m) Visa Is Issued?

Featured Replies

Can my wife work as soon as we are married or does she have to wait until her FLR(M) visa is issued??

This is our situation, my Fiance (Thai) came here on the Fiance Visa, we marry this Friday 26th FEB 2010 but in the meantime she has an interview for a job.

They know we marry Friday and that she can't work before, but if she gets the job, can she start lets say on the Monday or does she have to wait until the FLR(M) Visa is granted/issued???

I thought I had already posted this question, but I cant seem to find it so if you have read this before, sorry!

Also, what supporting documents should we provide for the FLR(M). Marriage certificate, proof of address, anything else??????

This forum covers all countries except Thailand, so if you don't say which country you are asking about you are unlikely to get any replies.

Like this topic, in your previous one you did not say which country you and your fiance are living in so, apart from a post by me asking, no one answered and the topic has dropped down near the bottom of the second page.

As in the OP to this topic you mention form FLR(M) it is now apparent that you are asking about the UK.

No, she cannot work until she actually has her FLR.
