Trang ~ What Beach & What Hotel

Any suggestions for a nice beach and hotel in Trang Province ?

trang is a medium size historical town where there are old buildings mixed in with new more modern conveniences.

around trang, there are several renown beaches, not just one. they are about 45 min away from town. if you are pressed for time, you can take a one day tour visiting, skin diving around four breathtaking islands for around 700 baht inclusive. you can not find a better and more exciting offer for such a small sum any place else for sure. most importantly, people won't rip you off in trang....

as far as accommodation goes:

thum-ma-rin-tha-nar around 1,200 baht (1 km)

m.p. (boat shape) hotel 1,000 B (3 km)

park hotel 800 B (2 km)

naka chalet (most friendly and clean for budget minded) 500 B (5 km)

backpackers (koteng 300 and a few others, if you are travelling on shoestrng and tight budget)

there are plenty of inexpensive eating places. every evening there is a food court fair at center-point where many locals select their dinners there (as cheap as 30 u.s. cents a plate.... lol) and if you like, you can rub shoulders with them there.... LOL if you ever run into any difficulty because of language problem, you can call zero eight nine one nine seven one nine one nine, the guy there will be happy to help you out....

Best accom in Trang town for the price is My Friend GH IMO. Was 490 baht single/double 2 year ago, probably more now! Only 60-70 metres from the train station.
