Overstay By 1 Day

I am on an "O" multiple entry visa. my first stay on this visa which is valid for 1 year is presently until 9th April. I am planing to go on a short trip to Philippines on 10th April.

should I bother with asking for an extension or is it safe just to pay for overstay 1 day at the airport?

advice appreciated, thanks

First day is free.

It is safe as long as you don't get stopped by the police on the 10th?

They do not charge the 500 bt for a 1 day overstay at the airport immagration ,i think they give people the benefit of doubt although your passport will be stamped/written 1 day overstay.

Happened once due to booking error. No fine as I said earlier and no stamp either, just a stern look from the official.

Hello,I've missed my date,it was the 24 and I'm going to the friendship bridge on Sat the 27th (for my border crossing ,any clue as to what I'm looking at for being late! any help would be Great Thanks! :)

Fine will be 500 baht per day you are late, with a maximum of 20,000. Other than that there is nothing to it, as long as you are not spotted as an illegal alien before you reach the border.

Also no problem in getting a new visa or re-entry into Thailand.
