I'm renewing by marriage visa, it expires on the 20th of March. I already have the 400k on the bank account since early December, so I'm wondering how long before I can go? 2 weeks before it expires is acceptable? And what to bring, so far I have:

- passport

- certificate of the 400k from the bank.

- wife

- copies of everything

If your visa is expired or nearly you will have to reapply,As long as you return to Thailand before the expiry date there will,be no problem , whats the 400k for! . i would look to see how long visas are taking and now long before you can re apply, i think its only after 6 months out of the UK .

Don't pay any attention to the above post. Bad info.

You can apply within the last 30 days of your current permission to stay. Just make sure your money has been in the bank for 3 months.

The account needs to be in your name only. Bank letter and passbook.

By copies of everything I assume you know what's needed. ?? Same as last year.

Some imm offices might ask for photos of you and your wife around the home, with at least one showing the address.

A Non O visa/extension based on marriage. He can only renew/extend in Thailand.

He told us the expiration date. He doesn't want to get a new visa. He wants to get an extension. (See the word renewing in the OP)

To get an extension based on marriage your need either 400k in the bank OR income of 40k a month.
