I've always found Thai Tv to be excruciatingly bad, with every program seemingly containing the cartoon sound effects and childish editing. Recently we seem to have started receiving a channel called Thaipbs.or.th. I'm sure it's not a new channel but maybe for some reason we couldn't get it before. Anyway, to my surprise it is quite good and I find that although I don't understand it I can actually watch it without feeling the need to get out of the room quickly. They show interesting looking documentary's without any stupidity. Plus they show programs centered around teaching English whilst also being informative. Last night I even watched a Jazz competition which was quite good even though I don't really like Jazz music. This find has been a real breath of fresh air for me. I wonder if they get many viewers?
