True Blocks Ports?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a new question regarding True.

My forewall (Zywall USG100) was working great with my previous connection in France.

I kept the same settings for my port forwarding (personal web server, FTP...) and now, most of my port (some are standard like TCP 443 and some are not like UDP 24xxx) are blocked.

Is it normal to have this?

And is there a solution to make things work properly?

Many thx

Hi

I have never heard that they do...

I have port 80 and 22 open and it has worked for years, I have setup non standard ports like 5000 for others and it is working fine.

Do you have static ip (WAN) or do you rely on a DDNS?

How is you LAN ip setup?... sure you keep the IP static on the server you try to reach?

Take care

Martin

True heavily traffic shapes all ports. Eg. maximum 500 kbps per thread, unless the content is hosted locally.

The only applications on True ADSL that work right are bittorrent softwares.

There are of course ways around, but it is tedious work and would cost money.

Dude, the OP says his ports are blocked, Traffic shaping does NOT block ports, therefore he has a problem. Perhaps he has changed some software (firewall etc) that has blocked the ports.

To the OP, what Op system are you using, what firewall/antivirus are you using. Did you recently load some major software (printer sharing etc).
