Where To Activate My Second Entry 60 Day Tourist Visa..?

Featured Replies

Iam currently in Buriram and on the 22nd March my 60 days tourist Visa stay is up, can I activate my second and last entry of 60 days in Kap Chuen or Korat immigration office ? advice needed please...

Thanks Jason

before you activate your next 60 day visa, you have the option to receive a 30 day extension for 1900 thb in bkk, chiang mai, mae sai.

depends if you need the extra time in the land of smiles, 60 day tourist visa=90 days. A border run is still imminent, but can be later if you like.

Options are:

1) Obtain 30 day extension at local immigration office. You will need passport sized photo, completed application form TM7 and 1,900 baht. Then just before the visa expires (usually around day 88) you will need to do border run, exit Thailand and re-entry will activate your second 60 day entry. Then can obtain further 30 day extension from Thai immigration if required. Total period of stay can be nearly 6 months.

2) Go to the border, exit Thailand and re-entry will activate your second 60 day entry. Then can obtain further 30 day extension from Thai immigration if required. Total period of stay can be nearly 4 or 5 months.

Depends upon your plans!

If you chose to go the extension route you do not have to leave it to the last minute to visit immigration. You lose no days by applying early; the 30 day extension is tagged onto the end of your current permission to stay.
