Scanner For Scanning Books In Los?

Hi all,

Has anyone ever seen a book scanner, like the

Plustek 3600 (Plus) or something similar in Thailand?

It is priced low-mid range at around US$250. The

important features are that the scan bed goes all the

way to the edge of the machine so that you can lay put

a book on the bed the as in the photo. It also scans

directly to pdf; I guess most do pdf now. Any

info appreciated, especially a source that might be

able to send to me in Khon Kaen.

Do Google search for "book scanner bangkok" and a place on Ladprao is one search result. Appears they have a OptiBook 3600 Plus book scanner.

Thanks, Ballbreaker. I did the same search originally and that company didn't come up. But I got it this time. Thanks. I'll contact them.

Anyone else see one of these things around Bangers? Maybe the same idea, goog for books, but less costly?

Thanks, lah!

To scan a book efficiently it would be best to remove the books spine by cutting it off and run it through an automatic document feeder, these do tend to cost more though. It will take a long time to scan a large book manually.

It's worth remembering that here are lots of ready scanned books to be found on the torrent sites.
