It was said by one of the red leaders that 20.000 monks would participate in the protests, I have seen a lot of pictures of all red, but not a single monk. Have you??

Perhaps they are there, but wearing red-shirts & wigs ? Or maybe the dastardly blue-shirts, or some invisible higher-force of alien lizards, had them machine-gunned or bombed en-route ?

I believe they are asking the authorities to refrain from using force on the protesters.

The first sign is asking that there be no violence. I cannot read all of the second one, but it seems to be critical of Prem and the other aristocrats.

There were a few, but like most of their predictions about their numbers it was all hot air

The government put pressure on the religious leaders to block monks from participating or attending. It was no secret and it was previously mentioned in the forums. If an abbot says he will disrobe monks that disobey at a temple, then I think the monks will not disobey.

200 monks out of 20,000 "expected"

100,000 protestors out of 1,000,000 "expected"

at least these are better ratios than the "expected" Thai Elite Card sales

They all went strait to Pantip Plaza when they came to here.
