Tourist Visa Documentation

Hi,

Me and my partner are going to Thailand in september on holiday, I do not need a visa as am from the UK, but he is from Pakistan so will. I was wondering whether it is compulsory to be able to prove where he will be staying for the visa application? Although there is a question asking propsed residency, it does not say proof of hotel bookings are needed, but some people are saying they think they will be.

We planned to just find places when we are there rather than get tied down, will it be possible to state this on the visa or will we have to make a reservation somewhere (I suppose we could just cancel when we got there).

Thanks to anyone who can help :)

Personally I would leave it blank or find a hotel on the internet and put that.

Many government people love to see blank filled in. Look up some hotels at AsiaRooms.com, Agora.com or some other and just fill it in.

Pakistan application could be checked closely. I would put a location. You could book first night there as advance booking is cheaper than walk-in most places above guest house in Thailand.

You are aware a visa would be advised for you if travel will be longer than 30 days?

Yes, I'll only be there for 18 days
