Oven Wanted

Featured Replies

Someone has an oven on electricity or gas I can trust for temperature? Something like a small pizza oven.

I have an oven but the temperatures during baking vary too much.

Please contact me.

Yes MACRO have a great electric oven for sale and very cheap. Saw them a week ago.

There is an add (in French) on Gavroche...

Pro oven, in Chiang Mai, pictures and price and other infos available by mail at "[email protected]".

Claims (invoice available) the price new was 22K THB used 3 months only...

I saw a small gas oven in Carrefour a couple of weeks ago for about 8000 Baht.

Considering where you live, I would recommend gas. I can imagine the electric supply to your area might be the problem with your varying temperature.

Yeah, a voltage regulator is a good idea for anywhere with power fluctuation problems.

But an electric oven is much, much, much.... more better than a gas oven. Specialy if you would baking bread or cakes.

Don't know where you live but, close to Ascott there is a shop selling Siemens and Gaggenau ovens (electric and gas), very good ovens even a souffle

out of this oven looks like the one you eat at Joel Robucho in Paris, EXCELLENTO.

And much cheaper as well :)

You all need to preheat and get one of those temp. gauges. (excuse spelling) So you will know right where you are and get on with it. Mine really helps a lot.

Use gas. It's cheaper by far, and once you get to know an oven you don't need to know the temperature - seriously. Whatever you're baking will come right if you use your eyes and common sense.

Rama 4 (starting where it meets with Sukhumvit) is full of shops that manufacture/sell ovens both gas and electric.

Good luck! :)

The small fanforced ovens the sell at makro homepro or any store are well worth the 1000 baht or so.

I looked at all sorts of higher end portable ovens, but I couldn't see paying the price when I could get a full-sized Electrolux for close to the same price.  I just plopped it on top of my washing machine, and except for havign to put up a fan for the smoke when I broil, it works great.  It isn't a Wolf oven, but it is really a nice piece of work.
