I have been to Thailand twice now meet a girl the 1st time just got back from the second trip planning the 3rd for November.

I want here to come to the UK in May 06 for a holiday for about 3 weeks.

We went to the British embassy were we got touted by a Translater marrige register company went back to his office. He explained that 10% of tourist visas get acceptted for girls.

Ok she is not rich I will be paying for the flight and basicly financing here to stay with me thats not a problem.

I was told that the emmbassy needs to see my payslips from work and proof of income.

She has a house, job and an 18month old son Mum Dad brother and 2 sisters when I explained that basicly the emmbassy thinks she will not leave the UK she was quite upset she has things to come back to. Is there anything else I can do

can I put up assurites at all in November we shall be going to the emmbassy agian.

StealthK3,

Is this what the embassy told you, or the tout?

Yes, your g/f does have to show a good enough reason to return to Thailand at the end of her visit, but having a job to return to and property can be positive factors in this equation. If you're not planning for her to visit the UK until May 06, you and she will have had a year in which to have cemented your relationship and will, therefore, have more evidence to back up her application. I wouldn't worry about the visa application now, but give it 6 months or so. As things currently stand, sureties can't be accepted; an application stands or falls on its own merits and is not dependent upon how much someone stumps up as a bond.

OK. What he has said is not necessarily incorrect but all he seems to have achieved is to put the fear of God in to you in terms of getting your g/f a visa.

When she ultimately applies for the visa your g/f should supply a letter from her employer which details how long see has worked for the company, her salary, and when she is expected back to work. If it is considered by the visa officer to be a "good" enough job this will dramatically assist in her getting the visa. She should also provide evidence of the property she owns and proof of your relationship; e.g. photos, e-mails, phone bills etc. As I said in the previous post, the length of your relationship will also be a factor, so giving it until May 2006 can, also, only be of help.
