I expect we will be educated that that was a different type of fuel which is legitimate, but that (the image) would have woken Bangkok up and scared the s#$t out of me!

I remember that fire, a large company I had dealings with had most of their IT about 300M from that fire, never seen quite so many senior managers sh1ting themselves.

The Hammel Hempstead explosion was caused by huge fuel vapour cloud, that has built up over some considerable time, detonating. There have been other terrorist attacks of fuel/gas tanks in the Uk and they have all failed like this attack in thailand because you end with a a jet of burning fuel coming out of the tank, you don't get that vapour/air mix you need for an explosion. saying that you can still start one huge fire.

same with pylons; several have been attacked by, american financed terrorists, with little success in the UK. these are very open structures so the explosion just passes through, to take down a pylon you need to use cutting charges which is skill and a half or do what happened the last time a pylon collapsed in thailand, steal the nuts and bolts holding the bottom together and let mother nature work her magic! :)

Militant Red insurgents are going full terrorism.
