Are Thai Tv News Programmes The Worst Ever Seen?

Have been watching Thai TV channels most of the day trying to see what is happening with the red shirts.

Most of the coverage has been the same 15 seconds of shaky phone camera footage repeated over and over while one or two talking heads chat on endlessly. News flash for Thai TV execs- TV is a visual medium, not radio with pictures!

The so called "anchors" must have something in their contracts that they must be on screen at all times, as most of the screening seems to be of them yakking on, while the action pictures occupy about a third of the screen. Even if the action occupies the full screen, there is a box at the side where we can "enjoy" seeing the "anchors" prattle on.

Pretty rubbish, IMO.

Bad news is good news, in the news industry!

And if the news in the UK isn’t violent enough you can always turn over and watch Eastenders. The news channels are competing for ratings just like all the other programs on the telly.

As for Thai news, what do you expect? Thailand has to be one of the only places in the world were a Thai person can go to make a complaint about one thing or another and the conversation can possibly go on for an eternity………..And the subject of the complaint, Oh no, that never gets mentioned! Shit no! That would be very rude. Ha ha Thailand…. I love it.

:D

Try Saudi news...the first 15 minutes of every news program are videos of the King, the Crown Prince, the Minister of Defence, The Minster of Petroleum, etc.

Most of the videos just show these people shaking hands with other arabs.

If there is time, you might get one international news item...but only if there is time.

Otherwise it's just arabs you don't know shaking hands with arabs you don't know.

:)

Sorry .. Thai TV News is far better than FOX or BBC (and possibly CNN)

Al Jazeera is fairly decent.

Yeah your right.I mean look at the amount of international awards for reporting they have won over the years.

Always first on the scene at any flashpoint or incident. If it dosen't involve the price of rice or good news they have no interest in the flat world outside it's border. You'll say they have the best dramas next
