my wife's cousin who lives in the same village managed to snag a farang. my wife and her cousin are the same age but he is SEVEN years older than me at 57. i have done A LOT to help my in-laws because I love my wife and I love the King. I help out financially but more importantly I do my best to teach all of the children in the village English so that hopefully one day they can get a good job working in the Thailand tourist industry as a shop vendor and to help improve the chances of the females of marrying a farang by being able to speak English. This farang on the other hand is the complete opposite. He is very stingy with his money and he is not spending nearly as much I am AND this is DESPITE the fact that his wife is imho more attractive than my wife and his wife has an extremely beautiful and complicated EXTENSIVE set of tattoos that encompass her entire back and I KNOW for a fact that this type of art work runs easily over 50k baht. My wife's tattoos are not of nearly the same mastery. So yes I am jealous.

The cousin has now been complaining to my wife about this guy and asking me for money. I am not willing to lose face so I pay it. They invited us over and I had to sit their grinning as this old geezer popped in a VCD of "The Sixth Sense" in a DVD/VCD player that MY MONEY paid for. They are already having money problems because the cousin took out a loan on the house when she married this guy because he promised her the world and now he is playing the "Solly Mi Mee Baht card"... We dont know what do about him. Needless to say, everyone in the village is very serious and they keep looking at me like "You're a farang, you sort this guy out" but really what I am I supposed to do? He keeps pestering me about investing in a Bar/Hair Salon but I have enough business experience to know that it won't work. I am thinking about seriously demanding that his wife do me a "favor" if I have to continue loaning them money.
