My son has a small box (which you can open and repack if you wish) with 2 shirts and a couple of books.

Will be happy to compensate. He is in Denver but can ship to a USA address. We have lost packages before via thaipost.

So send it insured / traceable / ems / etc..

Sent 100's of traceable parcels and never lost one, regular mail many parcels got nicked.

Correct, perfectly fine to open box, and repack in suitcase. Weight maybe 2 or 3 pounds, I would imagine. Nothing too heavy. To Cees, with one post since 2005, why on earth would I want people to not open the box??

Anyways, if anyone can, that would be great. I appreciate the thought, anyway!
