Tm47.doc Not Formatting In Openoffice

Featured Replies

I'm not sure whether to post this in this topic or in the computer section, but here goes:

I use openoffice as my word processor. When I download TM47.doc (90 day report), it opens up as a 2 page document. I didn't have this problem with MS Office, but can't figure out how to reduce the 2 page document to a single page as is in the original. Anyone have any suggestions?

Some of the Imm Offices are getting persnickety about accepting anything other than the original form handed out at the office -- illegible scribbles and all.

You can also fill out the form with your computer before printing & saving it. Just leave the date blank which you can fill in by hand when you visit the immigration folks. I'm using PDF Xchange which is freeware and filled it out on the computer. The form is apparently formatted for Microsoft Office. :)

Thanks for the tips. The typewriter in pdf-xchange works well. Thanks!

A friend of mine used the pdf file with typed in info today at Udon. No problems. Thanks again for the tips.

I type into the forms and save them. That way I don't have to re-type everytime. It also means I don't have to work out which box requires what in. They don't all line up correctly.

Never had a problem with any of them being accepted in immigration.
