Regarding immigration to the US, does anyone know what, if any legal difference there is between co-sponsoring an immigrant using form I-864 or signing the contract between household member and sponsor form I-864a? As far as I can tell the obligations are the same but the only difference with the I-864a is that the household member shares the same residence with the immigrant and that it's easier to fill out.

And in the case of signing the contract I-864a is it legal for the immigrant to move to a new address sometime later? What are the rules regarding address changes for an immigrant to the US?
