BillR
I need to ship 400 kilos of weight plates from bangkok. Anyone know the easiest way to do this? And maybe an approximate price? Appreciate it.

fiddlehead
Yeah, That's what I was thinking too. That would be too much load for my old pickup but I would think the newer (bigger) ones would carry that load.

It will give you the cargo weight. There are many upgraded pickups around, identifiable by the 6 bolt meatier wheels and helper springs, they usually have chrome or stainless bars on the sides and are usually but not always used to transport blue "eski" boxes of prawns/shrimp/fish? in chests full of ice. However if you search for Vigo cargo capacity I think you will find that kerb weight is around 18xx kgs and the gross weight is 28xx kgs so your 400 kgs should be fine.
