An idiot crazed Londoner shown on BBC TV speaking in the Terrorist Red shirts grouping . Always a few Idiots who think they are Thais when they and know nothing. THESE PEOPLE HAD EVERY CHANCE to move with a deal for early election but they want Their Victory and NOW Its over . CLEAR THE AREA GET OUT OR GET HIT

Those are the farangs who come here with a bit of money, meet their Isaan bar girl and move with her to her village where he is welcome with open arms. They feel one with the people until they run out of money and are kicked out - this chap must still be in stage 1 :)

I'm a bit concerned about the foreign reporter being shot by the army after he clearly called for help and they knew he was a foreign reporter...

Please post a source for the claim that the army kept shooting him after knowing that he was a foreign reporter, as oppose to 'blackshirt' in sunglasses up to no good, that he looked like.

Its COLD BLOODED MURDER pure and simple

The rules of using live fire which was so eloquently told to the CNN and BBC yesterday in English by the Abhisit goverment was no army will fire on the public unless

1.) They are in fear of there lives

2.) They see an armed red shirt

3.) they will fire in the air

The right after that nice interview BBC and CNN shows the army hiding behind walls firing indiscriminantly into the red shirts then they show the french guy who was shot fell to the ground and then shot while on the ground 2 more times, he was not armed was not thai but was obviously targeted by the military in addition 2 more journalists have been shot

I see it as nothing but cold blooded Murder killing unarmed people and if someone says he was holding a bamboo stick give me a break unless the guy was making a move with that stick toward a solgier the guy has no permission to shoot him from behind a wall.

just for your reference, check out this clip, that is another peaceful incident of civilians attracking military truck. perhaps you say it is an 'isolate'd incident' !

do you see the result of seizure of military vehicle in other part of the world ? simply the soldiers are allow to defend and to shoot, no excuse !

you can rewind the video and see the soldier just 'wai' to the civilians for peace ! SO, are these Thai soldiers are too kind, or the government is too kind ?

I don't see your point of 'Its COLD BLOODED MURDER pure and simple' ?

Lets look at Saeh deng

COLD BLOODED MURDER pure and simple whether he was a nut or not you cant assasinate your political opponants and to make it worse done in front on the worlds press no less

Do you think anyone in the outside world believes the goverment when they said they had nothing to do with it when all the news channles are showing thai army firing indiscrminaltey into civilians

FC, two different issues :

1) agree your point on shooting Sah Daeng in such mafia style assassination is a wrong doing, whatever who did it.

2) control and contain the red protest and avoid much violence is another issue. shooting must be limited, but self defence is the bottleline of an military operation.

So after my early morning English Breakfast with the wife, I thought why not take a cycle through Mordor, so I cycled down through Sukhumvit, past Central Chidlom and in through the gates of Mordor central.

Had a good look around down there, the mood is solum, no dancing to sh*t Issarn techno today, the crown is half what its been on previous days, maybe less, to me this is because there are no sight seers or people just interested to check whats going out. I'd put the numbers at 3000 max, with strangely over 50% being female. Maybe the men are all sleeping somewhere, but I covered the whole camp pretty well, and unless they checked into the holiday inn they don't exist.

I still feel a deep rooted sadness that these people have been used, and can think of no worse tragedy than dying for petty politics.

No ones starving in Thailand, an election was on its way, there is no REAL heavy poverty, well no more than other where in Asia, in general, its not being ran any worse than it was 5 years ago! Not so bad that you'd have to die for change.

Phone signals in certain areas are still blocked down there.

3/4 of vendors have f*cked off, they were there to make a quick buck only.

All of the barricades are open you can stroll through any of them.

There was a distinct lac of white people compared with any other days.

Why can not we see armored vehicles yet....I think the army should really hit these terrorists hard now, enough is enough

How many dead bodies will give u an erection....

Mate, this place is crawling with blood hungry westerners who cant seem to get enough.

Abhisit should listen to the US, UN, and Thaksin and return to the negotiation table.

No point being there. The reds don't want to negotiate.

Abhisit is an honest man who has bent over backwards to avoid conflict yet the psychopathic leaders that manipulate the rank and file Red Shirt Brigade were and still are bent on extreme violence e and hatred from the start as their rhetoric so clearly showed and indeed still shows..

Twenty years here and Abhisit is the most progressive Prime minister to date willing to listen to all and his administration has implemented measures to assist the less well off in Thai society and indeed would have done more if it wasn't for the Red Shirt Brigaded actions to stall further measures as it was damaging thug Thaksin his family and their acolytes money stealing and law manipulation to yet further boost their fortunes at the expense of the majority.

The guy is an incompetent, irresponsible leader that has just brought the country to the edge of civil war, due to his impatience, frustration and unwillingness to show flexibility in negotiations. How much blood needs to be spilled under this idiots leadership before you tell him to resign ?

The blood lust on this forum is disgusting.

Way off base here can you imagine any other leader being in charge now, say Thaksin? If this was reversed and Thaksin was in power I would put the number of casualties in the hundreds already. You are a fool to think that Abhisit hasn't bent over backwards to give these idiots every possible way out and each time they have spit in the face of him and the rest of Thailand.

YOu are the one way off base.

Thaksin is calling for returning to the negotiation table. I would much rather have Thaksin calling the shots than this braindead moron Abhisit.

QUOTE (RussellHantz @ 2010-05-15 10:28:32)

Abhisit is such an idiot.

He knew exactly what would result if he used force. Congratulations Abhisit, now you have it

He should have stuck to negotiations.

Abhisit is a disgusting excuse for a human being.

AMEN

The irony of Abhisit's patience to "wait it out" (the Red's occupaton has been going on for three months now and the PM's offer for early elections (the Red's wouldn't accept it without more requests), he gets accused being a "softy" or not tough enough. Now he is accused by one of the forum members (Mr. Hantz) as being "disgusting". (sigh) :)

Abhisit should be strong see throu the full term, deal with these extreemists and allow time for his policies to be felt beneficial and people will turn their backs on the red shirts. A s its always been, people will support who ever can give them most. Hope he sees it through

a couple more - Arisman and Jatuporn either behind bars or in a wooden box would chub me up pretty good right about now as it would mean the end of Bangkok being held hostage by terrorist.

why don't you go out and mark a " X " on their forehead and I will shoot them down with my spacebar....

The situation is like that in Gaza. Protestors with stones and slingshots get killed by indiscriminate fire. The claims of the government that the reds have weapons (real ones) are ridiculous. Not one soldier in hospital, while to official figures of CRES say 16 killed 141 injured. Abhisit has turned in the Suchinda II cabinet.

The journalists in the cross fire were all shot by the army. An other example why the elite do not care about human life. First of all the Police need to take care of protests not army. only in banana republics the army is in charge. Secondly the soldiers are looking 17, 18 years old frightened and badly trained. They have no idea how to handle crowds.

Abhisit and his cronies should end up in the international court of justice.

Several soldiers have died in the last weeks. Civilians as well. Wake up and face facts please!

The army is not being atacked by the reds at this moment, they are atttacked by Bangkok motor taxi gangs!

Guess you didnt hear About the dead soldiers and police that have been shot. Oh and the bombs that have been exploded in the past few weeks, or maybe it was the army doing all of this to make the reds look bad. just because you have issues with your government back home does not mean the government here is the same. The goverment has been holding back for too long now, time to shut things down.

This is not "international standards" and shows just how desperate that Abhisit and the Democrat/Bhumjaitai coalition are to cling to power and money at all costs......

Screw Int'l standards. Security forces are dealing with a crazed mobs wielding conbat weapons. Let's not limit what the gov't forces need to do to defend themselves.

watch this brief video:

and tell me whether or not the army troops should have protected themselves. Without hesitation, the troops should have taken out any lethal weapons they had and gunned down their assailants. It's beyond ridiculous that security troops are required to act with cautious restrictions, while their assailants can use any weapons & mob tactics they please to assault troops.

This video is horrible:

500 terrorists infiltrating reds said the CRES.

Now with 10 people death and over 100 injured in the hospitals and who knows how many have been arrested the number of terrorists must be significant down, right? Because the army is shooting only at terrorist and shot at them only when there is no other way to stop them.

And one journalist got unlucky.

So you are saying they took out 10 of 500?

Unless the others are arrested in the hospital - not very likely - there is then 490 left in your mind...

Anyone heard about something like that? Or misleading information?

Tweeter @freakingcat

# TNT reports 4 civilians got shot at Bon Kai. Shots are fired from buildings and people get hit! 4 minutes ago via web

# Thai Radio just said that at Bon Kai Reds shot civilians! Many injured...trying to get confirmation now...

I am reading the same. Someone needs to pick off Natthawut if this is true. He appears to be the mastermind behind this. "...would unleash a nightmarish night for Bkk."

What I heard from my wifes relatives who live there, a Bangkok (anti-red supporter) fired his gun from the second floor off his house onto protesters hanging in his Soi, he then fled over the roof because the cops couldn't come to his rescue

Bet he won't be opening his door if you knock, for a while

Like the US would ever have tolerated the red mob.

Good thing they closed their embassy cause you can be dam_n sure they would shoot to kill anyone trying to over take it or get inside without permission as they would have if people tried to storm any US gov't building let alone congress.

I don't care if the leader is a 3 legged monster. As long as he can do whatever it takes to bring this country closer to reconciliation then he will have my support.

Abhisit has been harping on about reconciliation but the country has only divided under his leadership. He should never have been PM.

Russell won't change his outlook, regardless of mountains of evidence proving him wrong. He and other Red apologists are firmly stuck defending the Reds, and any bit of reason is tossed out the window.

It's almost funny that the Reds and their supporters feel compelled to try and turn Abhisit in to the devil. Au contraire, Abhisit has been treating this rally problem too trepidatously for his (and Thailand's) own good. Many more Reds would be dead and wounded if Abhisit hadn't been trying to be so nice all along.
