Photos and info only please. Bickering and pointless squabbling deleted.

Are those buildings or tires burning

and a few more deleted, so I guess the next one will earn a suspension since cdnvic's public warning didn't work.

This is one I took yesterday evening.

Those are clouds, right?

photoshopped....nice try

Not clouds, smoke from something, it was definitely rising upwards and spreading out. Around 5pm yesterday.

Nope not photo-shopped either. Did change the contrast, saturation and exposure levels in iPhoto when I stuck in on my computer though, which took about two minutes, just wanted to highlight the dramatic nature of it.

Here's the original before I changed the contrast etc-

And here's another one shot around the same time.

Got to admit, there are some weird, paranoid folk on this board. Don't know why you'd think I'd spend ages photoshopping fake smoke into a photo when I could just go onto the roof of my condo and just point a camera. I'm guessing maybe you don't live in Bangkok, because sights like this have been pretty common-place in the past few days. But if I'm wrong I apologise- feel free to share your photos and contribute something useful to the thread. hat.gif

I saw these kind of clouds just building up like on nothing years ago. It happened every day for about 5 days. It was a spectacular sight each day. I had to poke the locals' noses to it, or else they wouldn't have realized. It was followed by extreme weather condition and heavy rains many hours later.

It's a Cumulonimbus cloud - thunderstorm.

You might be right from the photo, although watching it, it seemed like the white smoke / cloud was rising up from a specific point.

It's a nice photo anyway. :)

Nice pic....but giving the impression that a huge cumulous cloud building is the smoke from the Bangkok fires is a bit drama'erish.
