A Windows 7 Question

Featured Replies

I bought Windows Seven Ultimate last week. It is taking some getting used to.

Windows Media Center is missing. I have looked just about everywhere - including

Search Programs and Files.

Anybody else have this problem??

Thanks for any help.

It should be pinned in the start menu like below. If not type "%windir%\ehome\ehshell.exe" in the search box to see if it runs (no parenthesis). Actually just typing "media" in the search box should show it.

The link to mine is right in the start menu.

Check it is enabled..

Control panel >> programs >>programs and features - then click on "turn windows features on or off"

The media centre is in the "media" folder

The program should be located here %windir%\Ehome\Ehshell.exe

Totster :)

Thank You ! ! !

I am making progress. Got it pinned to the Start Menu but when I go to open it:

"Windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy.

For more information, contact your system administrator".

What from here??? :)

SUPERNOVA is a genius.

Deon had the answer on that page.

All I had to do was change program access and computer defaults.

Thank everybody for the help.

I love this Forum ! ! ! !
