Annoying Icon

Featured Replies

In the past 2 weks or so an annoying icon has appeared on my screen.

It's a finger nail sized circular icon with up and down arrows to navigate the screen.

Its pissing me off, what is it and where did it appear from?

Is it from Firefox, Google or some live update?

Of more concern, how to get rid of it.

Have ran all the usual spyware/anti virus checks, nothing shows up.

Any advice from the gurus please.

It's a FireFox thing for quick scrolling, you get it by pressing the microswitch on the wheel. So obviously you have a touchy wheel on your mouse.

Goto Options/Advanced/ then untick "Auto Scrolling"

Screenshot would be helpful.

You can download Greenshot which makes making a screenshot easy.

Upload to here or imgur.com if you don't have permission.

If it's the above then bdenner is correct.

To the two posters above, thanks.

Makescents, yes thats exactly the icon.

Bdenner, thanks, followed your advice and zapped the bloody thing off into cyberspace.

Again thanks, appreciate it.
