flyingsausage
Hiya Sorry if my geography's all wrong. Just need to ask a couple questions: 1. Is Surin near Isaan? And near the Thai-Cambodia border? 2. What would be the easiest way to get to Surin from Singapore? Via Bangkok? I have to stop by Singapore for a few days before heading over. 3. Not going to debate the existence of magic, but if I WAS interested in finding an "authentic" caster, how would I go about finding one? Thanks
oldgeezer
Yes, through Bangkok. Surin is in Isaan, about 400 km from Bangkok and 100 km from nearest Cambodian border. Can take train or bus from Bangkok. Edited June 15, 2010 by oldgeezer
Dave the Dude
Yes, through Bangkok. Surin is in Isaan, about 400 km from Bangkok and 100 km from nearest Cambodian border. Can take train or bus from Bangkok. The border is Chon Chom and an easy ride on the Highway 214 through Prasat to border. Sorry cannot help with the 'fairytale stuff' I hope you enjoy your time in our city Edited June 16, 2010 by Dave the Dude
bergen
From your questions, it seems you don't know a lot about Thailand?? I suggest you read and learn a bit about the country, Isaan, Surin and more, before venturing any further!
Samuian
I can do some fly casting... if that is of any help, but i am on Samui, most of the time, the advantage is that there are direct flights!

Nomad97
FlyingSausage: I have looked in my Concise Oxford Dictionary and searched the web and I have no idea what you mean by an "authentic Caster". Please elaborate.

Please elaborate. Maybe he means 'Caster spell' as he mentioned the world famous, all powerful Surin Black Magic p.s. OP>>I suggest you dont ask about it in a certain Surin Farang Bar near the Bus station.
zzaa09
Yes, through Bangkok. Surin is in Isaan, about 400 km from Bangkok and 100 km from nearest Cambodian border. Can take train or bus from Bangkok. In the hopes of not coming across as pedantic Geezer, most locals don't consider Surin as an extension of Isaan. A Khmer existence is more to the flavour....as Surin {et al} finds itself 'Thai' by default only.
