The Red half of Merseyside is in shock tonight, as news filters through that former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard signs a five year deal with Chelsea. The deal worth 30 million pounds is subject to a medical on Friday 24 June, and agreeing personal terms. Gerrard was expected to resign for Liverpool after recently leading them to victory in the Champions League final.
