Sent two sets of visa documents 2 weeks ago on a Thursday at the same time, one with DHL and one with Royal Mail. DHL promised door to door and because of the weekend a 4 day turn around with a signature. Royal mail was international signed for with no guaranteed delivery date. You may wonder why I sent two sets well I just wanted to be safe. Anyway, DHL promised me it would be delivered by a DHL van to my destination, they lied, upon arrival in Bangkok it was passed on to the Thai postal service cos I tracked it by calling DHL in Bangkok and they told me they passed it to Thai post and gave me a tracking number. I was not pleased as I had a deadline to get the documents over. Royal mail arrived on the following Tuesday, DHL on the Thursday. DHL cost £67 Royal Mail cost £9. Hence I will not be using DHL again ! I would personally send to sets with Royal Mail. Good Luck

Hi I have had documents delivered to my address in Thailand 5 times in last 3 months from UK , my family have used Royal mail to deliver them, Recorded delivery, or special delivery is it (not sure which).... signature required for documents on arrival, and I have found them to be reliable on each occasion, taking between 7 and 10 days for delivery

I used royal mail International signed for sending all documents and photos for my girlfriends tourist visa application last month, when she recieved the package all the photos had been stolen! but all paperwork still un touched, very strange.

I've always used Royal Mail international signed for track and trace, with no problems. However, that's always been to Bangkok.

If using this, remember that the 'track and trace' part will only track it as far as the airport in the UK; once it's left the UK they cannot track it any more!

I had some tickets sent from the U.K. to Rayong by DHL they arrived after 5 days shipped via two places in the USA , Hong Kong then Rayong via Bangkok. We had to go and collect them from the driver in Rayong City as he didn't know where our village was, the package cost over GBP60 and arrived too late for us to get our flight. I would never use them again.

With the price difference it would be Royal Mail/Thai Mail every time for me.
