I ve been looking for a while on this site now, and I can t find any reviews/opinions on public swimming pools in Bkk (except this one, which is too far away from my place http://www.thaivisa...._1#entry3728140).

Are they any good? I ve got quite some friends here, but none of them like the water as much as I do :-), so they don t have a clue about public swimming pools.

Anyway, are there any swimmers or triathletes around here? And if yes, where do you go to? I heard there might be one (Olympic even) close to Fortune Town, is this correct?

Despite of the rain, I really feel like jumping into the water and just swim and swim and swim...

Thai Japan Youth Center on the corner of Vipawadee-Rangsit road and Din daeng.

Olympic sized pool. 40b a year to join the entire complex (every sport you can imagine is facilitated for).

All subsidized by the Thai and Japanese government. An amazing place.

Thanks James - I saw that link but did not think the URL would be useful as the way it appears so did not click. It is an odd site, about what I expected - but it does have a map.
