Non Immigrant O Based On Marriage Penang

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm now in Penang just got my passport back and I got a Non O multiple entry based on marriage.

I used an agent and gave the following:

-copy of marriage cert and a copy of the official copy(the one certified by the thai ministry of foreign affairs) of the translation).

-copy tabian baan

-copy passport and ID wife(both signed by wife)

-copy name page passport.

-copy bankbook (page with your name and the page of the amount)

I had only 56000 baht in my account at the moment.

To my agent I paid 620 ringit(6200 Baht) this is including the visa fee of 550 ringit, so I paid 70 ringit(700 baht) fee to the agent but for me it was worth all the money.

I can give you the details of the agent by pm.

As of January this year Banana Guest House in Chulia Street were doing the same for only 5 Ringet...yes only 50 Baht extra charge on a 1 year multi 'O'

I'm really interested in this option, but so I don't make any fruitless trips, what are the exact guidelines for what I need to produce? Thanks in advance

I took what I wrote in my post and got it trough an agent and like you read a reply new banana guesthouse is the cheapest option.

you hand in your passport at your agent and the following day you get it back with a visa(hopefully).

it's pretty straightforward.

You can safe that "agent" if you go to KL. Nothing smoother then going to KL for a one YR Multiple entry NON-O Visa. No questions, no wait time....AND very friendly.

what I understood was that in KL you need 100.000 baht in the account,I didn't have at the moment, and the extra money spent on travelling is more then the 70 ringit I paid to the agent and the travel time is way less for me to penang

And I didn't had to go to the consulate, so no taxi costs and less hassle for me.

I emailed the Banana Guest house based on this posting (above) and the reply was they charge 60 RM and they suggested 400,000 in a Thai Bank!, just goes to show how conflicting some information can be.

60 rm sounds more realistic to me because I think most visa agent have the same price give or take 10 rm.

what I wrote before for me the 70 rm fee to my agent was a good deal because I got my multiple entry non O based on marriage with only 56000 baht in the bank
