Notification Of Address In Thailand

Featured Replies

When I first came to live in Thailand I read of the need to notify my address in Thailand at Immigrtaion, seperately to thr 90 day reporting and did so

I recently left Thailand for a short holiday . Am I right in thinking I have to register the address again

Cheers

You need to report to immigration on the date stated on the paper from when you last reported. (It should be in your passport.)

If you leave Thailand the 90 days starts all over again, day one being your return date into Thailand.

OP - You can give them any address, it is not registering the address but notifying them of the address. If on a Non Immigrant Visa Extension they do sometimes check to see if you do actually live there.

The question is about notification of address, not of notification of staying in the country for 90 days.

I would say yes, you have to report again that you live there, which you can do by form TM28: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/tm28.doc

You could do it by registered mail.

Not many people report their address and it is rarely enforced.
