July 4, 200521 yr Could someone explain the relevance of the small beaker of water that is usually placed in glass cabinets. Is it for luck? to compare the clarity of the 'diamond's or something else? It drives me mad trying to work it out. I am a bit sad and anal though!

July 4, 200521 yr It's to add humidity to the cabinet or case; especially if the case is in air conditioned space and the contents need a bit more humidity to avoid drying out, cracking, etc.
