On July 22 (as per appointment) I went to CW to collect my final extension stamp after 30 days under consideration based in Thai Wife.

Arrived at Imm at 09:15hrs and was out by 10:05hrs. Fast and efficient compared to Suan Pluh.

Question:

In the past the final approval stamp was dated (next to the signature of the officer) with the date when I actually received the stamp.

This time the stamp is dated June 29 (I did file my application on June 24).

Shouldn't it be July 22?

Did they make a mistake or do they now stamp the actual date the approval was given?

Even if a mistake I'm sure it is no problem but just like to know how they work now.

When did your previous extension run out?

My previous one ran out on 28th Nov, I submitted my docs and then collected my new extension on 25th Dec, valid until 28 Nov 2010, as such I see a one years extension from the date the previous one ran out.

My previous extension expired on July 06, 2010.

So the extension to July 06, 2011 is perfectly correct.

I was only wondering about the very minor issue of the date stamp when the actual final stamp is placed in the PP.

Sounds like a wrong date stamp which can happen.

maybe it had been granted already on the date stamped in your passport, but you were told to return on a certain date so you did, mine has 05 Nov on it, which I am sure is the date it was seen in Nonthaburi, and the date of 25th Dec when approval was stamped into my passport

Last Thursday I attended Phitsanulok immigration and 45 minutes later i walked out with my first extension of stay and re-entry permit (retirement). stamped in my passport. No medical, no photo or fingerprints taken. Went alone and only speak basic Thai. Great friendly service, best I've had here in 6 years.
