Considering the current topic on "why ferangs like Thai women so much" I thought it might be appropriate to start an opposing view topic, which although a little tongue in cheek may give the blokes a chance to answer back.

I will add my 2 penneth in the hat

1) We are all welly welly hansum

2) We all "take care" welly well

Lets see if there are more responses to why ferang men like Thai women, or why Thai women like ferang men and maybe we can make conclusions from there.

maybe the conclusion is we all like each other and then everyone can live happily?

They like me because they think I have a lot of money and they either need/want money or someone they know does.

Thai women do not prefer falang, just the possibilities that comes with knowing them.

Like this hasn't been covered a billion times.... because most Thais think whities are rich, plain and simple. Perhaps you should start a thread "Why are so many young, beautiful Thai women attracted to old, festy farang?". Same answer I'm afraid.

Think there'smore to it than money - plenty of Thai girls with poor farang men and stay together - gold digger everywhere on this planet, but take them out of the question and there are still plenty of mixed couples here.

Other reasons may be the pereption that farang men look after their wives, help out with kids and chores, do not beat their wives and do not drink or gamble all the money away, do not dump them when they are pregnant, and are faithful (like I said 'pereption'). Versus the opposite perception of Thai males.

Farangs are known for ignoring class, social and other barriers (like profession!) - taking on kids, divorcees and so on, and for helping with the oh-so-important family.

Farang's also have white skin (which is what 'farang' means) which is seen as attractive in just about all of Asia.

There are trhee reasons why Thai women like farangs.

1. Farangs usually have more money that most Thai men and are willing to spend it on Thai ladies.

2. Most farangs were raised by mothers who taught them to respect women and treat them well.

A lot of Thai girls choose a Falang because they believe Falangs are more likely to be faithful.

Thai men are well known for their infidelity. And there's not a Thai girl in Thailand that truly accepts a kik or mai noi.

Believe it or not, it's a good assumption, senior Thai men are almost expected to have a kik by their peers.

For the spelling Nazis, Falang/Farang/Ferang/Falung and Gig/kik/gik, it's all the same, I don't care how you want to spell it.

Yeah I agree as well, thought it would be an interesting comparison to the Q regarding farang men liking Thai women so much. I guess it all comes down to certain demographic groups being able to get access to what would not normally available to them. that being money or youthful beauty !!

Also we make beautiful babies. I know I do.

I am beginning to feel old. I was riding on a crowded bus two days ago and a Thai soldier got up and gave me his seat.

For the past couple of years Thai people have been talking to me like a person.

My conscience mind says everything I have seen says that Thai women prefer Thai men. I was sitting on a bench waiting for a friend and a older Thai lady walked past me to cross the street. She ducked so her head would not be above mine as she passed by me.

There are definitely advantages in living in a place with few Falang.

With very few exceptions most of the men I know in long term relationships with Thai women have been taken advantage of. Some, the happy ones, have enough cash so it doesn’t make any difference.

I have seen so much bad behavior by Falang men that most times I cringe to be seen with them. Even with good friends. No matter how much I coached before they arrived they still violated taboos left and right with seeming indifference at every opportunity.

Of course most of their behavior pales by comparison of drunk Thai guys in a karaoke bar for a night out.

Ever watch young (10 to 15 years of age) Thai male children play with boys and girls. If the boys were my sons I would smack them at least once every five minutes. It seems the only nice young boys are the obviously effeminate ones. It doesn’t take a brain trust to see what these young boys will be like as men.

Still knowing all the negatives I also remember seeing ladies on Beach road handing over their money to dirty foul mouthed Thai oafs.

Of course there are the nice Thai guys who allow their houses to be decorated in hello kitty pink.

So I really don’t know. However I think the majority of the time with the majority of the people it must be said that Thai women do prefer Thai men. Some times a small, fast jackhammer breaks more rocks than a large jackhammer.

Yep. I too, would hate to break the news to the self-absorbed and self-important circles......but this short statement by DP25 is closer to reality than the counter-illusion might suggest.

I think the title of thread is just fine.

I've known several instances of Thai women who would have nothing at all to do with Farangs, only to change their mind and actively seek a relationship (read marriage) with a Farang when they

A.) got dumped with a child/ren by their Thai husband.

B.) reached the age of 30 and came to the realization that the hi-so Thai guy they were waiting for wasn't coming and they were in danger of being left on the shelf.

In the past month or so, a Thai woman I know who had her nose stuck up in the clouds when any Farangs where in meetings with her has been dumped by her Thai husband, one child to take care of.

I've commented to one of the Farangs she was particularly want to give the stuck-up treatment to that it won't be long before she's all smiles at every Farang she meets. I give her about six months to make the turn.
